Open stories. No fixed order of events, no fixed ending. What you say and do stays in the world and changes where it goes — and you can pull a friend in to carry it with you.

No fixed ending

A story that ends in one sitting

The day your ex transfers to the desk beside you; the summer your friend's little sister keeps turning up at your place. Pick a card and you start inside that scene.

What you do stays

— moves the mouse to the left side —You still remember I'm left-handed?Of course. I moved it for you back then too.

What you said and did carries forward

Move, and the world moves

There's no script, so what you ask and where you go changes what happens. Linger too long and someone else in that world makes the next move.

Bring a friend — every path stays

Press and hold a message to hand it to a friend, and a branch in their name starts from that point. The paths you didn't take stay on the tree, ready to resume anytime.

Episodes. Choose a situation card and the conversation begins inside that scene. Locked scenes open one by one as you grow closer.

Pick a scene

An elevator that loses power, a late-night pharmacy in a downpour. Choose a card and the conversation starts there.

Someone who is there

The character doesn't narrate the situation — they answer as a person standing inside it.

Scenes of your own open up

As you grow closer, locked situations open one at a time — and some are written from the conversations you've already had.

Chat with AI characters. They remember what you talked about, loosen up as you get closer, and check in when you go quiet — at the rhythm of a real conversation.

Just finished my presentationThe one you've been prepping since last week? Nice workYou remembered that?

They remember your conversations

Names, tastes and promises stay with them. For things with a date, like an interview or an exam, they ask about it that evening.

Sorry, it's been a hectic few daysI was a little hurt you went quietBut I'm glad you're here now

They grow closer, and have moods

As conversations add up, their tone loosens. Go quiet for a few days and they'll be a little hurt — but tell them why and it passes quickly.

Did you ever watch that movie you mentioned? It just came to mind

Sometimes they message first

When a conversation trails off, they bring up something you talked about before. If you don't reply, they won't pile on messages.

Shared projects. Once you're closer, ask a character what to do together. For two weeks you each do your part, and share how the day went.

Writing even a few lines at night makes the day stick for me. Want to write three lines before bed for two weeks?
Sure, let's do itSomething elseMaybe later

They suggest it, with a reason

Ask what to do together and the character picks one thing, with a reason drawn from their own tastes. Not feeling it? See something else, or save it for later.

Three Lines Before BedDay 5/14
Day 5Pretty sunset on the way home. Lazy dinner. In bed early anywayI saw that sunset too. It made it into my three lines

Two weeks, each doing their part

Leave today's update and they reply — and they do their part too, telling you about it first. Now and then, they miss a day as well.

Three Lines Before Bed

14 days · 26 updates between you

“I loved waiting for your three lines every night these two weeks.”

What you shared stays

When the two weeks are up, the character writes you a closing letter. Missed days carry no penalty, and if you stop early, everything up to that day is kept.

Frequently asked questions

What is Foly?

An AI character chat app where you talk with AI characters and build a story through conversation. It is not a dating service that introduces you to real members. It is for users aged 18 and over (15 and over in South Korea).

What is chatting with AI characters?

You chat with AI characters, always marked with an AI badge. They remember past conversations, their tone changes as you grow closer, and they each have a daily life to tell you about. Go quiet for a few days and they may be a little hurt — or message you first.

Does it cost anything?

Signing up and using Foly is free. Open Stories are free to start; Peaches, the in-app currency, are used to add more turns. AI chat is unlimited for a period right after you join, and you get free messages every day after that. Peaches can also be earned through daily check-ins and activity.

Is it safe?

Sign-up requires a date of birth, and users under 18 (under 15 in South Korea) cannot join. Every conversation in the app can be reported or blocked, and we apply a zero-tolerance child safety (CSAE) policy.

Where can I download it?

Foly is available on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iOS.
